- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
WheelsLower installation boltCaliper and suspend it securely. Do NOT disconnect the fluid line.Brake pads and retainers
To install:
- Install or connect the following:
2 pads so that the wear indicator plate is facing upward. Do NOT allow oil or grease to get in the rubbing face. - Draw out a small amount of brake fluid from the brake reservoir. Press in the caliper piston with a suitable tool.
Caliper. Torque the sliding main pin to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm).Wheels - Check the fluid level in the master cylinder and add as necessary.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
- Remove the wheels.
- Remove the lower installation bolt.
- Lift up the caliper and suspend it securely.
- Remove the brake pads and retainers.
To install:
- Install the 2 pads so that the wear indicator plate is facing upward. Do not allow oil or grease to get in the rubbing face.
- Draw out a small amount of brake fluid from the brake reservoir. Press in the caliper piston with a suitable tool.
- Lower and install the caliper. Torque the sliding main pin to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm).
- Install the wheels.
- Check the fluid level in the master cylinder and add as necessary.
I think checking your car brake pads on regular bases is important. checking your car brake pads on regular bases gives you good idea about brake pads life.
