How to replace Blower motor resistor on 2001 Mazda Protege?

RESISTOR INSPECTION

1. Remove the glove compartment.

1. Disconnect the resistor connector.

1. Verify that the resistance between the terminals of the resistor is as indicated in the table.

• • If not as specified, replace the resistor.

RESISTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the glove compartment

1. Remove in the order indicated below.

1. Connector
2. Resistor

1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
