Car repair guide?
this procedure will work for all types of Mercedes Benz truck model vehicles.
Intake Manifold replacing procedure is as follows:---
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
Negative battery cableCylinder head coverMass Air Flow (MAF) sensor with the intake pipe - Properly relieve the fuel system pressure.
Fuel rail with the injectorsVacuum lines from the intake manifoldAll electrical connections to the intake manifoldExhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valveCombination valveIntake manifold mounting boltsIntake manifold and gaskets - Place clean shop rags into the intake passages to prevent dirt from entering. Clean the gasket mating surfaces.
To install:
- Install the new gaskets and verify the secondary air injection passage opening in the gasket.
- Remove the shop rags from the intake passages.
- Install or connect the following:
Intake manifold to the engine and tighten the mounting bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm)Combination valve and tighten the bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm)EGR valveElectrical connections to the intake manifoldVacuum lines to the manifoldFuel rail with the injectorsMAF sensor with the air intake pipeCylinder head cover and tighten the bolts to 88 inch lbs. (10 Nm)Negative battery cable - Read fault memory, encode the radio and normalize the power windows.
- Start the vehicle and check for leaks.
