how to replace Power Steering Pump on Toyota 4Runner?

The power steering pump removal procedure for Toyota 4Runner is as follows:--
Power Steering Pump Removal installation details are as follows :----


  1. Remove the air intake assembly.
  2. Remove the clip and disconnect the power steering return hose.
  3. Disconnect the connector and remove the oil pressure switch from the pressure feed tube.
    NOTE
    If the oil pressure switch is dropped or strongly damaged, replace it with a new one.
  4. Remove the union bolt and gasket, and disconnect the pressure feed tube from the power steering pump.
  5. Remove the power steering pump drive belt. Remove the mounting bolt (A) and nut (B) and remove the power steering pump.

To install:
  1. Install the power steering pump assembly, but only temporarily tighten the mounting bolt (A) and nut (B).
  2. Install the power steering pump drive belt and tighten bolt -C- to adjust the tension. Tighten the power steering pump mounting bolt and nut to 32 ft. lbs. (43 Nm).
  3. Install a new gasket and the union bolt to the pressure feed tube. Connect the pressure feed tube and tighten the union bolt to 35 ft. lbs. (47 Nm).

    Fig. Make sure the stopper of the pressure feed tube touches the pump body as shown in the illustration, then install the union bolt.
  4. Install the oil pressure switch to the pressure feed tube and tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (21 Nm). Connect the switch electrical connector.
  5. Connect the return hose and install the clip.
  6. Install the air intake assembly.
  7. Bleed the power steering system.
  1. Drain the power steering fluid.
  2. Remove the air intake assembly.
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt.
  4. Loosen the two clips and disconnect the two vacuum hoses. Loosen the clip and disconnect the oil pump return hose.
  5. Remove the union bolt and a gasket, disconnect the pressure feed tube.
  6. Remove the two bolts and nut and using a Torx® socket (E10), remove the stud bolt. Remove the power steering pump.
To install:
  1. Install the power steering pump. Tighten the Torx® bolt to 16 ft. lbs. (22 N). Tighten the two standard bolts and nut to 32 ft. lbs. (43 Nm).
  2. Install the accessory drive belt.
  3. Install the union bolt with a new gasket on each side of the pressure feed tube. Tighten the union bolt to 38 ft. lbs. (51 Nm).
  4. Install the oil pump return hose with the clip. Install the two vacuum hoses with their clips.
  5. Install the air intake assembly.
  6. Bleed the power steering system.
