How to replace Throttle body on Ford Windstar?

The details to replace Throttle body on ford vehicles are as follows:---


Throttle Body
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Procedures are as follows:---

3.0L Engine

The throttle body for this engine is an integral part of the upper intake manifold and is not serviceable separately.

3.8L Engine

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect the accelerator cable.
3. Label and disconnect the fuel charging wiring harness.
4. Remove the accelerator cable bracket retaining bolts and position the bracket aside.
5. Remove the throttle body retaining buts and two retaining bolts.
6. Remove the throttle body and discard the gasket. 
   
   NOTE

   Place a rag over the throttle body opening in the intake manifold to prevent the entry of dirt while the throttle body is removed.

To install:

1. Clean the gasket mating surfaces thoroughly.
2. Install the throttle body using a new gasket and tighten nuts and bolts to 90-122 inch lbs. (8-11 Nm) in the illustrated sequence.

3. Install accelerator cable bracket. Tighten bolts to 90-122 inch lbs. (8-11 Nm).
4. Connect the fuel charging wiring harness.
5. Connect the accelerator cable.
6. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
