Exhaust Manifold Removal on 2007 Dodge Caliber?

In this chapter the details and procedure is provided for removal/ install of exhaust manifold.

The dodge caliber exhaust manifold replacing procedure is as follows:---

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine appearance cover.
3. Remove the upper heat shields mounting bolts.
4. Remove the upper heat shield.

5. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.
6. Remove the exhaust manifold support bracket.

7. Disconnect the Oxygen sensor electrical connector.
8. Remove the exhaust manifold mounting bolts.
9. Remove the exhaust manifold and gasket.

To install:

1. Install the exhaust manifold with a new gasket. Tighten the bolts in sequence to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm).

2. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield. Tighten the bolts to 105 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
3. Install the exhaust manifold support bracket.
4. Install a new catalytic converter gasket and connect the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold. Tighten the flange bolts to 21 ft. lbs. (28 Nm).
5. Connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
6. Install the engine appearance cover.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
