- Drain the cooling system.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
Negative battery cableAir cleaner assemblyAccelerator cableCruise control cableManifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor connectorIntake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connectorThrottle Position (TP) sensor connectorIdle Air Control (IAC) valve connectorEngine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensorPositive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve and hoseCanister purge vacuum lineBrake booster vacuum lineCruise control servo hoseAccessory drive beltAlternatorA/C compressorEngine ground strapsIgnition coil towersOil dipstick tubeFuel lineFuel supply manifoldThrottle body and mounting bracketCowl sealRight engine lifting studIntake manifold. Remove the fasteners in reverse of the tightening sequence.
To install:
- Install or connect the following:
Intake manifold using new gaskets. Tighten the bolts, in sequence, to 105 inch lbs. (12 Nm).Right engine lifting studCowl sealThrottle body and mounting bracketFuel supply manifoldFuel lineOil dipstick tubeIgnition coil towersEngine ground strapsA/C compressorAlternatorAccessory drive beltCruise control servo hoseBrake booster vacuum lineCanister purge vacuum linePCV valve and hoseECT sensorIAC valve connectorTP sensor connectorIAT sensor connectorMAP sensor connectorCruise control cableAccelerator cableAir cleaner assemblyNegative battery cable - Fill the cooling system.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
